Itinerary of Langtang Valley Trek β 10 Days Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu β Transfer to Hotel Altitude: 1,337m / 4,387ft Arrive at Kathmandu International Airport, where our representative will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. After check-in, you can relax or explore the nearby streets of Kathmandu. In the evening, meet your trekking guide for a short briefing and preparation for the journey ahead. Day 2: Kathmandu to Syabrubesi Altitude: 1,460m / 4,790ft Drive: 7β8 hours After breakfast, drive north from Kathmandu toward Syabrubesi. The scenic journey passes through terraced hills, rivers, forests, and traditional villages. As you approach Syabrubesi, the landscape becomes increasingly mountainous. Overnight at a local tea house. Day 3: Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel Altitude: 2,470m / 8,104ft Trek: 6β7 hours Today marks the beginning of your trek. Follow the Langtang Khola through beautiful forests of oak, maple, and rhododendron. The trail crosses suspension bridges and passes small settlements before reaching Lama Hotel, surrounded by peaceful woodland and mountain scenery. Day 4: Lama Hotel to Langtang Village Altitude: 3,430m / 11,253ft Trek: 5β6 hours Continue climbing through dense forest as the valley gradually opens up. You will begin to see spectacular Himalayan peaks, including Langtang Lirung. The trail passes Ghoda Tabela and continues through alpine meadows and traditional settlements before reaching Langtang Village. Day 5: Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa Altitude: 3,870m / 12,697ft Trek: 3β4 hours A shorter trekking day allows your body to gradually adjust to the increasing altitude. Walk through yak pastures, Buddhist prayer flags, mani walls, and beautiful mountain landscapes before reaching Kyanjin Gompa. After arrival, enjoy the surrounding Himalayan scenery and explore the area. Day 6: Hike to Tsergo Ri and Return to Kyanjin Gompa Tsergo Ri: 4,985m / 16,355ft Kyanjin Gompa: 3,870m / 12,697ft Hike: 5β6 hours Today is the most challenging and rewarding day of the trek. Start early for the ascent to Tsergo Ri, one of the best viewpoints in the Langtang Valley. From the summit, enjoy spectacular panoramic views of Langtang Lirung and surrounding Himalayan peaks. After spending time at the viewpoint, descend back to Kyanjin Gompa for an overnight stay. Day 7: Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel Altitude: 2,470m / 8,104ft Trek: 5β6 hours Begin the descent, retracing the trail through Langtang Village and the beautiful forests of the valley. As you lose altitude, the air becomes warmer and the vegetation becomes greener. Continue to Lama Hotel for a relaxing evening. Day 8: Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi Altitude: 1,460m / 4,790ft Trek: 5β6 hours Continue downhill through forests and along the Langtang Khola. Cross suspension bridges and pass through familiar villages before reaching Syabrubesi. This marks the completion of the trekking section of your Langtang adventure. Day 9: Syabrubesi to Kathmandu Altitude: 1,337m / 4,387ft Drive: 7β8 hours After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu along the scenic mountain roads. Enjoy your final views of the hills, rivers, villages, and countryside before arriving in Kathmandu. Transfer to your hotel and enjoy a well-deserved rest. Day 10: Final Departure from Kathmandu Altitude: 1,337m / 4,387ft Your Langtang Valley Trek comes to an end today. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have free time for shopping or exploring Kathmandu. Our team will transfer you to Kathmandu International Airport for your onward journey.
