Namaste! I am Paras, government-licensed tour guide with more than 15 years showing travelers Nepal's history, religion, architecture, and everyday life. My focus is cultural and heritage tourism in the Kathmandu Valley, including the UNESCO sites in Kathmandu valley. No two guests want the same thing, so I build each tour around the person in front of me, whether that means a deep dive into temple history or a slow, conversational day off the usual route. What Makes My Tours Different I care less about ticking off monuments and more about what happens between them: the story behind a temple, a conversation with a local, a shrine you'd walk past on your own. I want you to leave understanding Kathmandu as a place people actually live in, not just a backdrop for photos. Why People Keep Recommending Me Most of my bookings come from referrals and repeat guests. That comes down to paying attention: knowing when someone wants to linger, when they've had enough for the day, and when a question deserves more than the rehearsed answer. I've been recognized through the Global Guide Awards, but what matters more to me is a guest leaving with a real connection to Nepal, not just a checklist. How I Think About It Travel should mean something, not just fill a schedule. You'll forget how many temples you saw. You won't forget a story that got to you or a street you found by accident. That's what I aim for on every tour, whether it's your first trip to Kathmandu or your fifth. Come as a visitor. Leave with something more than photos.
